Baby Lead Weaning

How the hell do you do baby lead weaning with twins? How do you start? I’m here spoon feeding them and love that they are enjoying it but feel that they’re only interested if I show them the food. They do eat their fingers but they won’t touch the food and eat it, so see no point in it. Any tips are welcome ☺️

Fellow twin mum here ... safety is priority ! Baby led weaning is great but I struggle to watch both babies eat safely ... I feed them z then give them food to play with and spoons to play with after u till they are mor confident on eating and gagging etc xx

Don’t have twins but I found actually placing the food in his hand helped and that way he would bring it to his mouth and munch on it. Maybe you could try placing it in one of your twins’s hand and spoon feed the other and then alternate? X

You can also try giving pre-loaded spoons and then they can learn to put it in their mouths themselves? Then you can alternate between them and don't have to worry about them having big pieces of food? I'm saying this as someone who does *not* have twins so sorry if not helpful but just an idea!

Honestly try not to stress it. Just follow the guidlines for how food should be cut and let them lead. They might just not be ready yet 6 months is only an average not exact. I do a mixture of spoon fed and BLW which is an option if youre worried about them not eating x
