First period after childbirth

Can anyone give me advice, I’m on like day 11 of my first period, is that bad? Anyone else had that experience too? I don’t really like ringing the doctors for anything so thought I’d try here first x

My first PP period was a visit to the ER because I was bleeding through pads every 30-40mins and I’m on blood thinners which made it worse but I’ll def say it will last longer and it’s way heavier 😮‍💨 you’ll be okay though

I was on my period for 6 weeks and I had a C-section.

I know you can bleed for about 6 weeks right after birth, I even had forceps delivery and had multiple catheters for 5 weeks afterwards too, I had no idea that my period would be longer than its usual, I am slightly heavy not not as excessive as 30-40 mins thankfully, I find it odd cause I’ve had no cramp at all and I used to get it bad sometimes, I don’t know if I should contact doctors or wait until 18th when I’ve got a checkup anyways

And btw blood thinners are the worst thing ever!! 6 weeks of them too! I was on iron tablets too, now I’m on folic acid tablets

It takes a few months to become regular again after having a baby! Are you soaking a pad every 2 hours? Are you having large clots? If you are bleeding profusely, I’d definitely call your OBGYN

Yes I got diagnosed with DVT on my left leg when baby was 3 weeks old and I’m still on them and she’s almost 3 months 😔✌🏻

I finished on day 12 x

No clots, I wouldn’t say I’m soaking through, just heavier than I’m used to, it sorta died down by day 7 and then picked back up again, and no way!! I feel for you, I really do, good luck with that! I’m hoping the bleeding doesn’t last much longer.. Thanks everyone x
