Ehhh, if I could see what the inside of their house looks like 😂
@Brittany this is what I was going to say, it depends how much I trust their hygiene 😬
@Lisa exactly
Lolol v good point. Same🤣
@Brittany @Lisa So lets say I made a post to sell them, but in the post I added pictures of the products/me making them in my clean kitchen. Would you see that and think it was safe?
Right now, I buy raw milk for about $12 a gallon. It's about $8 a gallon where we're moving. I'd continue buying milk at those prices, but I'd expect butter & cheese to be too expensive to buy. Honestly, I'd rather learn to make it myself or barter for it. I typically buy 2 gallons every 1-2 weeks. From that, I make yogurt, half a gallon of chocolate milk, & the rest is used for cooking, baking, & drinking.
I personally would not. To use raw milk in yogurt it would have to be thoroughly and properly heated to kill off the harmful bacteria that is in raw milk. Some stuff I just don’t trust to get from others and it’s nothing personal
Really helpful!! Thanks everyone!!
Ya idk…. The milk makes me nervous 😫
@Brittany no makes sense. I feel that. I’ll just stick to making it for my family and sell the breads lol
I would definitely buy your bread ☺️
I personally think raw milk is too dangerous. If you look into the history of it the reason pasteurization was created was because of mass deaths due to the consumption of raw milk products. There isn’t evidence much nutrition is lost in the pasteurization process and there’s no risk of deadly infection when consuming pasteurized milk. If you do buy it, make sure you are educated on the risks of consuming it.
@Lizz So would you buy those products made from pasteurized milk?
I would! We have a lot of local farmers markets where I live and I love buying direct from the farm when I can, but I will only buy pasteurized dairy products personally.
Absolutely I know I was buying black truffle shallot sheep cheese that was 6oz for $12 Butter I don’t have a price or volume Same with yogurt idk I used to sell homemade coconut probiotic yogurt that was $16 for 16oz which apparently was cheap because I’ve seen 6oz cups for $10
