Fruit

I cannot get my LG to eat actual pieces of fruit, she will not even try it, just pushes it away 😫 Anyone have any tips and tricks that have worked?

Mines the same, I just keep offering 🤷🏻‍♀️. I do banana mixed into Wheatabix for breakfast and that’s the only time she reliably eats fruit

My little boy has always been brilliant with fruit, will eat all sorts but a very firm favourite and with a lot of other people’s babies is pomegranates. He would eat them all day every day if we’d let him. Might be worth giving them a try? We also first started off when he was 6 months and teething with fruit in one of the food feeder dummies. So he had the taste before actually having to eat the fruit, also might be worth a try?

Have you tried sitting down with a plate of fruit yourself and eating it in front of them? Completely away from normal food times, not at table or high chair. In my experience they want what we have and will hopefully start trying it at least xx

Offer different fruits, shapes and sizes in a plate as a snack. It's winter season so there aren't that many good fruits but we have strawberries and raspberries as a favourite which I let her lick from her plate and eat while I supervise. When she doesn't eat fruit, I blend frozen mango, strawberries, banana and oats, chia seeds and a splash of milk to make a cold thick smoothie and serve as a snack. Can use kiwi and strawberry, blueberries, pear and apples too. She loves watermelon and pomegranate but hates other melons. Looking forward to this summer where we can offer fresh yellow mango and let her eat it around the stone!

Would she like it as a fruit pouch? My little girl only eats watermelon, mangos, grapes, oranges and avocado on its own. She used to love berries but has been refusing them lately, so I just get her some fruit pouches of apple, pear and strawberries. Keep offering them tho, one day she’ll find a very sweet fruit and like it lmao

Keep offering and eat them with her without pushing it on her. If she sees you enjoying, she hopefully will want to try! We offer 'dips' too so it's a bit more fun. A scoop of yoghurt or hummus with veggies xx
