Frimley Park Hospital - Induction / Birth Stories

Hi girls, has anyone given birth at Frimley Park Hospital? How was it. I'm 40 weeks and have been suggested to have an induction, but not sure... let me know your stories xx✨

I gave birth there and they were lovely same with the maternity ward I didn't have an induction but all the staff were lovely even when I ended up having a c section x

I gave birth there in 2021, was induced after water breaking and having high blood pressure. It was generally a really positive experience, always had midwife with me and infact 2 at one point because there was a student! induction made things happen very quickly for me and I did tear which is no fun. I think unless there is a medical reason to induce, this time around I want to wait xx

I gave birth there in April 2024 and was induced, they were so helpful and lovely I’d say for me after they tried to induce me with the pessary I was in labour for 3 days so I chose to have my waters popped at 2cm as I just wasn’t dilating 🤦🏼‍♀️ just be prepared it can be a very long process… x

Aww! All your birth stories at Frimley sound so so positive 😊 I've got a membrane sweep on Monday & if that doesnt work will have to book in an induction at Frimley. I just hope they give me the epidural thats all feeling super nervous xx

@Yassmin I had the epidural and it was such a positive experience for me x

@C. Im going into Frimley today for induction, quite nervous esp for the pain Cx

@Yassmin don’t worry yourself too much! The actual induction itself does not hurt but please advocate for yourself I was on day 2 and didn’t want to keep waiting as my dilation hasn’t progressed so I requested to have my waters popped <3 you’ve got this and just remember it’s all worth it by the end of it xx

@C. Thank you xxx so kind, how long was it for you from when they broke your waters to birth?

@Yassmin it was a good few hours so my waters were broke around 2am and I had my LG at 12pm — I’d say that I was trying to hold off the epidural so I didn’t have the epidural until later on but I found once I’d had the epidural and I relaxed the process went a lot faster xx

No induction as ended up having C section last Oct, even now I still think about the midwives at Frimley and how amazing they all were x

I had induction at Frimley and had a lovely experience. Prepare for it to take time though. I went in Saturday morning started induction at 10am labour finally kicked off Sunday around 3pm and he was born 5am Monday. The staff were lovely in all departments and I couldn’t fault them. We were also home by Monday evening. If you have any questions feel free to msg me x
