Early induction fear

So I was initially due march 13th, due to health complications this has moved forward and is now February 21st. I’m so so scared, overwhelmed, anxious. I’m not sleeping, I’m having panic attacks. I just don’t feel ready. Even though I have had a really difficult pregnancy. I’m so terrified. Any advice to help reduce these feelings would be great.

The hospital is prepared for all possibilities. It will be fine though the meds don’t rush the process . It will go at a steady pace .

You've got this 💪 if you decide that induction isn't working for you and making you feel more anxious, don't be afraid to express that and access what the other options are. But they will be advising what's safest for you and baby so just stay as calm as possible and you'll meet your little bundle of joy soon and it will all feel like a memory soon. You can do it 💪

Thank you 🩷positivity affirmations! Work wonders

Could you go for some reflexology? It’s the most relaxing thing I’ve ever done and might help you sleep better xx

Do some research on positive inductions! They aren’t all scary: my Sil pushed her baby out and said it was the best feeling. Have you done any hypno birthing? The positive birth company on Instagram has courses that are so helpful that can help you with breathing and meditation etc. Try to stay calm and be excited that you get to see your baby soon. Do you have a birth partner? X

I'm being induced on the 21st as well (due date is 14th). Just try as many hypnobirthing techniques as you can. Fear can make the contractions worse. Get you're hot water bottles, tens machines, fan, birthing ball all the things that can help with the pain. Keep active as much as you can. Don't be afraid to ask for an epidural, it will help with the pain. There's always the option of a c-section if that's something you would consider. There are many positive stories out there and most of them are due to a positibe and calm mindset. I'll be thinking of you 🤍

@Lyra I do yes. My husband is phenomenal. i’ve done some hypnobirthing and the breathing works great at bringing me back down and I have some positive affirmations on my spotify that help me find sleep sometimes. Positive induction research…on it! 🩷

@Marianne i’ll be thinking of you too. Our babies coming in to the world together! 🩷
