Hi Marissa, I have been to Armthorpe a few times with my little one. We took him there when he was only a couple of months old on the advice of his swim teacher that it was the warmer pool out of all of them. But the changing rooms/poolside were cold! So it is worth taking an extra towel or a dressing gown, so you can wrap them up as soon as you are out of the pool and still have something dry for after the shower. You can book it online and it is free for U3s. I can also highly recommend th Dome. They have a kids pool which is really shallow and has a climbing frame and tiny slides. So it would be good for reintroducing the water if it's been a while?
I haven’t been for years but armthorpe has a second smaller pool that I remember being much warmer for young children, they have swim for all sessions x
