@Danielle already under ENT might say next time. They do feel neck and nobody’s ever said anything. I do suffer with anxiety I could be overthinking! X
You know your child best and if you feel it’s something more then raise that with the gp, my little girl is undergoing tests for a lump under her collarbone which they thought was a lymph node x
Oh I’m sorry to hear that, will you find out soon? Keep fingers crossed for you ♥️ xx
I hope so it’s a waiting game unfortunately but if your generally worried about your child I would raise it with the gp especially if he’s not poorly x
They are likely to be reactive lymph nodes due to the recurrent infections. I would mention this to the GP and to ENT the next time you see them. Unless they grow rapidly and are painless, I wouldn’t worry about them too much.
My 5 year old has them too, he’s had them for a year or so. They appear and then disappear! They don’t cause him any pain however I’ve had them checked twice and had scans done too and they were just reactive lymph nodes which come with virals etc. As long as it’s not causing any pain they should be fine and normal but of course have them checked by your GP.
@Mahreen do they never fully go down? I’m thinking something to do with ear issues even when not infected he has fluid in ears it’s been on going since he was 2 so 3 years xx
Probably they are tonsils because of ear infection as it's all together. If you treat it with antibiotics, the tonsils will reduce in size too.
My boy has had this since he was 2 ish. Still there and he's nearly 6. gp said its their glands developing it can cause bumps will eventually fade..
@Mickey about the same as my wee one then! She’s 6 this year. This has calmed me abit hearing others have similar. Have you never went back? X
I would raise this with your gp and keep an eye on the size etc x
