Free 15hrs Childcare

What do I do? I work one day a week myself and I’m struggling to increase my hours to earn over £182 a week due to half term and school holidays. My job is unsociable hours and I can’t just cut down my hours over half term and nursery only operates during school term time. So on an average some months I would be earning over £182 and other months not at all because of half term or the summer holidays. Any advice? FYI: my daughters dad is in the picture and still works full time, could he claim the 15 free hours to enable me to increase my hours at work?
