9 months is early, but with both my kids I’ve needed to put them in daycare around 1yr old for their own sake. Kids NEED other kids.
My girl will be 9 months tomorrow too, and she will be going into nursery 4 days a week from June when I go back to work. Our families live 4hrs away, so there's no chance of them having her. I enjoy my job and want to keep my independence, so giving it up was never an option. I am however going down to 4 days a week.
Thank you all for sharing. These comments make me feel a lot better actually ❤️
Daycare is scary as an idea, but if you get a good one it’s so awesome. I work 35 hours a week and put my kid in for 40. It’s so incredibly awesome to have some time for myself. I’m a way better mother for it. Also, my second was adopted from foster care and had multiple developmental delays. We had a nanny at first and then used an in-home daycare with 5 kids. He only got past his developmental delays once he started spending time in a classic daycare with kids his age. Then walking and talking were things he wanted to do. Nanny’s are awesome because they clean your house a bit during naptime… that’s a huge plus, but it wasn’t something we could afford long-term.
