LGI water birth

Hi. I have overate massively throughout pregnancy. I feel disgusting for it, I’m 37 weeks now but can’t change it. I’m now over 100kg and honestly can’t believe it. Prior to pregnancy I was in good shape and into fitness. I’m disgusted at the way I have ate but honestly , I’ll just have to make good changes when the baby is here now. What upset me the most, is I have actually ate myself out of having a water birth. Apparently the weight limit is 100kg. Anyone had experience of this?

I would ask on the day it really depends who’s working ect. I had a water birth over 100kg basically the midwife and the other lady by husband and my mum- between them all they’d have been able to get me out of the water in an emergency that’s what the worry is x

I think the BMI may come into play here too, so it would depend on your height. If you're tall and 100kg that would mean different things to your plan compared with short and 100kg. I think the BMI 'limit' is 35 for waterbirth, though other factors are taken into consideration x

@Chloe my BMI is 31. I was horrified I’d surpassed 30 and fell into the ‘obese’ category!
