Weaning

Anyone else’s 6 month old not actually eating much? I keep seeing tik toks and posts about my baby finished all this plate and it’s huge. I just made my little girl porridge and she barely had 4 spoonfuls and just wanted to rub it all over her 🤣 I know it’s normal but I’m really starting to question myself 🤷‍♀️

Weaning is so individual! We haven’t even started weaning yet and she turned six months this week. Just didn’t show the signs that she’s ready yet, and honestly the first few months solids are mainly for exploring textures and learning how to chew and swallow, so it sounds like she’s doing great! As long as she gets enough milk alongside it instead of dropping feeds she’ll develop interest in more soon I’m sure 😊

Food is for fun at this age! Dont worry yourself! Its just for new tastes and feels and there use more hand eye coord and using hands etc my little eats very small too but its new to them theres no rush for anything! Take your time and have fun!! Forget social media its no good for your head comparing etc you are your own person on your own journey with your baba❤️

Don’t worry that’s a normal amount! They take very little at first they have small stomachs. And milk is still the main source of nutrition until one. Most of those videos are probably hiding the truth, most of our babies food goes on the floor, in the bib or he feeds the dog! X

Thank you!!!! She’s such a good eater, she will Literally try everything and is doing really well with BLW but I feel like there’s just too much information out there sometimes and it can really contradict your gut 🤯

My little one has about 5 spoonfuls max of food and half of that probably ends up on her chin. We do a mixture of puree and blw and honestly doesn't matter which one we do she doesn't eat much at the moment. It's so baby dependant. My first was a food monster and ate loads so definitely different this time round x
