Stitches pain constantly 4weeks post partum
Does anyone's stitches still ache, or have they got better? I'm still in so much pain, especially the stitch around the labia. This morning, it was bleeding. Is there anyone else?

@Chloe did you have a stitch on the labia? Oh my life. I feel like I cannot do anything. Literally struggling to walk, sit or enjoy anything with my baby due to the pain. Painkillers aren't even working on me anymore 😭😭
I had 2nd degree bilateral labial tears and a 2nd degree tear of the perenium. I genuinely felt exactly the same, it was a struggle to get up/walk about or sit down. The best thing I found to help wasn't painkillers but walk around a bit (to stop them healing too tight) and when you're sat, I sat on ice packs. Honestly a life saver for me!
I had exactly the same thing at 4 weeks, I'm just coming up to 7 weeks pp and have only just in the last few days had them stop hurting/slightly bleeding. I was very panicky about it and had them checked numerous times, all being told they were fine and just sometimes take a bit longer to heal depending on where the tear/how bad/your own healing process etc. If you're worried call triage and ask them to check, but going from my own experience it was normal and was only an issue if accompanied by a horrible smell which would signal infection. Hope that settles your mind a bit! X
