To salt or not to salt

As an example - my little one won’t eat eggs or avocado at home, I’ve just let him have some of my scrambled eggs and crushed avo on toast from the cafe and he loved it. It was tasty (salty) Is it better for a baby NOT to eat nicely cooked healthy no added salt food and miss out on that nutrition OR to add a tiny bit of salt and they eat it and get all the nutrition?!

Little boy has good taste in food!! Could you try seasoning with other flavours like garlic, paprika etc? From what I have read, salt really is hard for their little kidneys

We use paprika with avocado which works well x

I’ve never counted been bothered about salt & sugar. Never tracked it with both my kids. It’s just not something I’m worried about 🤷🏼‍♀️

I use a tiny dash of aromat… it’s savoury seasoning, and it’s what most people seem to use in videos of making baby/toddler meals. I think it’s a LITTLE better than using salt so still wouldn’t add too much but a little goes a long way tbf.
