Weaning advice

I am guessing we are all weaning now or are starting to? I thought it might be a good idea to use this as a thread of ideas or us all on meals/tastes for baby. I am following Charlotte sterling Reids method and advice and offering veggies 1st. I'm doing breakfast at the moment after his morning nap so approx 10am, he has his 7am bottle and then another at 11am. I've given yogurt with fruit puree, weetabix and porridge with mushed fruit. Then at tea time I am follow CSR and offering the different veggie mixes, usually pureed/mashed and soft finger food alongside it. Please leave comments on any meal ideas that have been a hit or helpful tips we may need. I've done this once before & don't really remember much lol 😆

Love this idea. We have just started with the veggies and a couple fruits so far. My little one isn’t all that interested at the moment, she’s just had two teeth pop through as we started which I think might be why. Hoping she’ll get more into it over the next week 🤞🏼 Following for ideas!

Great idea. We are BLW and started with veggies as well. Not eating loads yet but enjoying trying everything and making a mess! 🤣 My favourite lunch recipes are veggie tots and pin wheels that i can batch make. This week's tots are potato, broccoli, cauliflower and cheese. To make them Boil and mash your veg of choice add cheese and some breadcrumbs. Shape into little logs twice length of babys hand and bake for 20 minutes. Great for on the go. My now toddler loved pin wheels and we will use those for lunches and on the go snacks again too. 😃

My little boy seems much more interested in finger foods than purées. We’ve done some veggies (broccoli, carrot, green beans etc), porridge, fruits, oat & blueberry pancakes, toast, homemade oaty bars, yogurt. I follow lots of good accounts on insta that give me good inspo x

Thanks ladies. Please do share insta pages for inspo if possible? My baby doesn't have any teeth yet so nervous about him chomping off a big bit and not being able to chew it. Do they manage it OK?

@Hollie my little one doesn’t really get anything off yet (she’s got two bottom teeth literally just come through). If she does get anything off that’s on the larger side she manages to push it out her mouth fine
