Braxton hicks??

Have you tried relaxing in a warm bath? I did that but I also had contractions at 35 weeks with no bloody show or water breaking or really any other symptoms. I timed them and came in when they were consistent for an hour

Did you go into labour or they have gone away? I’ve had a warm bath, makes me feel better for 5/10 mins then the tightening comes back. I don’t have pain in my lower abdomen though only the top but the Tightening is everywhere , it’s my second baby and never had Braxton hick with my first so never felt this before xx @Katie

I had my first tightening yesterday. And im 34 weeks +3 Felt like under my belly was going to split open lol. However, went away after 5 mins.

How’s your water intake? If it’s low, be conscious to have more water and then you’ll know if it was the braxton hicks

My braxton hicks are horrendous if i haven’t had enough to drink throughout the day. I’ve always been terrible at making sure I’m hydrated but my god I pay for it now if I am not on it

@Callie @Marilyn ohhh I wasn’t aware you had you make sure your water intake was a lot! I’m probably not the best at hydration but yes the tightenings are unreal and the kicks down below feel like there going to pop my waters. I feel like I have 5 weeks left but she could be coming in 2-3 the way I’m feeling xx

@Fiona it could be beginnings of labour, if its your first you can have contractions on and off a week or so before you give birth. Definitely call though if you time them and they are consistent xx

@Fiona that was actually with my first baby and I didn’t make progress so they stopped the contractions for me. This time, I barely feel anything and I’m 37 weeks

I've been having these for about a week, usually when: I'm dehydrated I need a wee Baby has moved around quite a lot It's quite painful and it lasts around 5 mins but then goes away afterwards. I don't tend to have it more than once a day tho.

@Hannah it’s so weird because it’s like constant not like contractions on and off it’s super super tight for a few hours until I end up falling asleep then again the next day been like this for 3 days now, I did have period pain all night 2 nights ago but haven’t had that since .. it’s my second baby but was induced for my first so I felt a bit more comfortable knowing I was in the hospital but this time it’s just the unknown and the pain and feelings I never had the first time that’s quite scary cause I still have 5 weeks until due date , I mean I wouldn’t mind coming early as long as the baby is ok because I have found this pregnancy so long 😫 I’ve had HG for most of it xx

@Emma I really had no idea about the hydration and the pains it’s like the top of my stomach is so tight it’s burning fire that’s only how I can describe it See mine is pretty constant last night it was for about 3-4 hours until I eventually got to sleep x

@Katie oh really? So were you actually contracting? What week did you end up giving birth? It’s so funny with my first I got to full term and never felt a thing no pressure down below no tightening no nothing but this time since 3/4 days ago I’m feeling it all! Xx

@Fiona I actually got induced at 41 weeks with my first and I’m starting to slowly feel early signs of labor so I’m hoping to go naturally this time

@Katie that’s how I feel now I only felt these things once I was induced. I was induced at 39+3 due to measuring big but he came out completely average 7,14 they told me he was going to be 10 pound or over, I wouldn’t mind coming at 38 weeks to be honest this time x

Is it that the skin feels tight? I had pain at the top of my tummy and felt like I was going to burst and midwife said it was skin stretching and the muscles pulling
