i’m the same and today is my due date also ! i was hoping he’d come on the 25th so it’s 25/02/2025 and i’ve been up to hospital in the past couple weeks with high blood pressure but other than that there’s literally no sign and im getting worried x

Same here! Due date today and no sign of baby… 😩

Hope you're not waiting too much longer. Try not to worry my Feb 28th baby came on March 14th! My other 2 babies were 8 days and 12 days over. Some just take a little longer to be ready

Same here, it’s also my due date and no sign . Have midwife later so will see how that goes . My first was 11 days early so was expecting her to be here by now but no signs.

@Elaine do you know what the longest is they let you go without induction?

@Nishat I think it's usually offered at 41w unless other risk factors (age, bmi, health conditions etc). However, they can't force you have an induction if you don't want one, they can only recommend. You can decline and ask for expectant management (where you go in daily for monitoring). Other than that I would say that induction can be a protracted experience and can take days to get things going, but in my experience once things get going it can be a positive experience. It doesn't always follow that it'll be hellish

@Elaine thank you! I feel like my baby will be late and I think I’m minded to avoid induction provided there is no risk

@Nishat fingers crossed you can advocate for yourself and thar baby makes its appearance on their own schedule (without making you wait too much longer; I know every day feels like a week at this stage)

Thank you all! My daughter was born at 42 weeks and I really thought this one would come earlier as everyone says second one is always earlier! Not true obviously. I keep getting Brixton hicks but that’s it. Trying to induce labour naturally, having dates, light walks, bouncing on the birthing ball, having lots of warm nuts etc, butter milk. LOL you name it 😣 I have induction booked next Thursday but I’m praying something naturally happens… any tips plssss let me know x
