Weaning

How much should our 6months be eating? I know each baby is different and each take to weaning in their own way but my LO is a week into weaning and has barely eaten anything. He is bringing the spoon to his mouth etc and lifting up the finger foods but concerned he should be eating more at this stage.

It's really all about exposure to flavours and textures at this point, don't worry at all about the quantity of food as they're still getting everything they need from milk 😊 every baby is different, just go with the flow of your baby! My little boy has taken to food really well, he's 7 months next week and has porridge and fruit pouch for breakfast and a fruit and veggie pouch and a yoghurt for dinner with some bits of finger food in between. My first was a lot slower to take to food though 😊 x

We’ve been weaning for just over a week and honestly barely anything actually makes it to her mouth. The majority of it ends up in the floor. Most days she seems more interested in eating her bib than the food!

We started last week too. She puts a lot in her mouth, some things she sucks and gets the flavour but most of it comes back out. At this point I'm just giving her stuff to try and hoping for the best. It'll click at some point. I can't remember with my son how quickly he got it but he was a hungry boy. I'm doing blw so mostly just letting her feed herself, but she has had weetabix and yoghurt which I've put on the spoon for her

My LG is 6 months and on bit of porridge in morning and pouch in evening but not having alot of bottles during the day and stacks them in late afternoon/evening and during the night again which is weird as she used to sleep through even when cutting her teeth (she had 2 bottom ones through around 5 month mark) so we got hit with 4 month sleep regression and teething at once.
