I use a cleaver/butcher knife to cut all the stuff in my kitchen lol, the only time I use a “tiny knife” is at the dinner table cutting the meat on my plate or something!! Big knives just do amazing things for me 🤣
Different knives for different things. Chopping vegetables I use a chefs knife. Butchering meat I use a boning knife. Cutting fruit I use a paring knife. Any bread or baked goods I use a bread knife.
I'm a one knife kind of gal and I hate long knives. Bread knife? Throw it in the trash.
@🩷 Patience 🩷 lately I've been spreading with a children's Ikea butter knife lol. And their spoons are now a measuring spoon dupe for me.
I like paring knives I have a favorite one it’s green
When I worked in a restaurant I bought a fancy chefs knife because the ones at work sucked. I use that one unless my bread knife is a better choice. We have a lot of knives and Im constantly washing them, but I do not know what they are being used for.
I grab my chefs knife 95% of the time, I only have one good knife set in a block- mismatch or too many of utensils drive me crazy I like my kitchen organised and minimal so yeah it’s in the knife block, only the honers/sharpeners and the butchers knife is in the drawer
So when I was 15, I worked in a kitchen at a summer camp. There was a state law about people under 16 couldn't use knives over a certain length (forget exact amount) so I was only allowed to use the steak knives 😒! Literally had to cut whole watermelons with steak knives. ANYWAY, I think the annoyance of not being allowed to use big knives prompted my desire to ALWAYS use the big knives afterwards, so now I always pick the large ones 😂
santoku or chefs knife but i love the feeling of using a serrated steak knife
Do you mean like prepping vegetables? I use the big knife
