Picky toddler

Soooo what are we doing about our picky toddlers? I feel like I’m losing my mind some days because I can’t get my son to eat barely anything! I’m starting to worry about him

We give them a nutragrain bar and hope they eat tomorrow 🤣

My son only eats bacon and pouches. I leave food on the table to see what he will try. Sometimes, it works. He only likes bj brand Wesley farm cereal bars.🫣

I give my son PediaSure Gain & Grow shakes on occasion and hope for the best. I'm pretty sure he'll grow out of it in the next year or two.

I love these answers I don’t feel so alone now thank you guys!

Like tonight for dinner we had spaghetti and red sauce he's had pasta never spaghetti he didn't like it lol so he had 2 bars and half a muffin 😅 but he ate lunch and breakfast so I know he's not starving

I know I'll probably get shamed for this, but I let him eat in the living room while watching tv. It's the only way I can get him to eat. Also, "snackle boxes" are a fun way to get them to try new foods!

@Natalie haha saaame! As long as my son is munching away I'll let him watch Bluey lol 😆

Out of curiosity is your little one constantly do a lot of tantrum or very easily bothered because you let them watch tv ? NOT JUDGING !! Definitely NOT JUDGING because I let my toddler watch tv but I think the screen is maybe making him very angry? Idk 😭 @Natalie @Sophia

@Carina you know I've never thought of that he does watch alot of TV the majority is learning he's so smart but he does throw tantrums easily

@Carina tbh, I feel like my son would be crankier if he didn't eat well so I've just learned to pick my battles 🤣

@Brittany Yea right! If it’s educational it’s good in a sense because they learn SO SO MUCH. And especially if he’s not well fed he will tantrum even worse 😭 def driving me crazyyyyyy

@Carina my husband swears that the TV makes our son cranky too! He’s big on no TV when he starts throwing a tantrum and honestly… our son will enjoy quiet time once he comes down from his tantrum. He’ll sit there for like an hour just playing with his toys or coloring. Highly recommend trying and trust your intuition!

Hi, as long as they eat something Lol I make chicken nuggets /Fries.. In my air fryer almost every day for my kids. That's what they asked for and they ain't sick of eating it lol I don't waste my money grocery shopping for dinner ideas that I know they won't eat.

We consistently offer meals and snacks, but toddlers are going to toddler lol! Dealing with the same thing. Just saw the pediatrician and they were not worried and reassured us it’s something they do. Unless we are seeing issues with growth etc, it is a typical phase thing. We are also doing some supplementing with pediasure, but watching that too because that can easily become a replacement like too much milk (according to the pediatrician).
