Insanely picky eater help!

My son has been driving me insane with eating and I want to pull out my hair. My daughter blessed us with being such an easy eater and loves everything. My son is super picky and I feel has become worse with in the last two weeks! He only will eat raspberries, yogurt, croissants, quiche(but not the quiche I make), he was loving pasta for a minute now all of a sudden he only eats like three bites, crackers, sometimes broccoli. At dinner time I barely can get him to eat anything I’ve cooked and that we’re eating. I literally gave him two jars of baby food the last two nights! And he inhales them! I’ve been pulling my hair out over this. I work full time and I spend my days off cooking a million things that he just ends up throwing and spitting out!

I have zero advice, I'm just here to say... same girl, same. 😭🙃

You’re doing the best you can! From what I’ve read it’s all normal, but I know how frustrating it is. Mine has good and bad days with food. Maybe have one safe food with the dish to make sure he eats something. Could also be teething, and that’s why purées are gobbled up? Or make your foods more bland? I read a story recently where an Indian family was serving their baby typical Indian food but he wasn’t eating it until they took out the spices. The little baby palate got easily overwhelmed. Just a couple suggestions. Good luck!! You’re doing great ☺️

We are in the same boat and went to the pediatrician on Wednesday, she assured us it was normal and he’s actually getting more protein and nutrients than you probably think. Our son really likes avocado crackers with flax seeds, and smoothies! She told us to pack a whole bunch of stuff in them if he will drink them. He has a canine tooth coming in so he’s definitely eating less. Also if your son is drinking milk, maybe try playing around with when you give it to him. We started giving milk after breakfast instead of before and he eats all his breakfast now! Hope something in this helps :)

@Mikaela @Taylor @Mikaela thank you all so so much it is very reassuring to know and hear I’m not alone in this! He does have his top molars coming in 🙈😭
