It all depends on what a normal reading is for you, if those readings are higher than your normal then it's worth questioning. Does your swelling go down when your legs are raised/overnight? As always if your not happy, go get checked at triage. 😊
I agree, it depends on what’s normal for you ☺️ If you're noticing that it's rising, then tell your midwife. I didn't know this until the other day but you also need to look at the bottom number which ideally should be below 90 I believe. If you're worried, I'd mention it to them again for some ressurance and tell them your concerns. Again I only know this as I'm at moderate risk of preeclampsia due to family history but as well as high blood pressure, I'm told to look out for unusual swelling (not water retention type, more significant swelling), headaches, visual disturbances and I think that's it!
my blood pressure is naturally low, my normal is 96/70, so for me that seems really high, but that might be normal for you. i think 139 is close enough that you should probably visit your maternity centre, you don’t need all the symptoms for it to be preeclampsia
It needs to below 140/90, ideally 135/85 or below when at home so it’s not currently a concern but something to keep an eye on as you may find it raises in the next few weeks. I’m medicated and mine is usually 125/75-135/85.
