I haven’t tried it but my husband said it’s sweet. I’m scared to try it lol
My boyfriend said it tastes like fruity pebbles cereal milk too!! I've heard when its green that might be a lot of foremilk
I put yes but my boyfriend/bd has, he said it tastes like almond milk, (we get the sweetened kind) so I guess the same as cereal milk? Haha Idk why I’m too grossed out to try my own. I still bf my 2 yr old and she tells me “yummy chi chi milk” after feeding 🤣
lol @Jenn mine says the same almond milk thing
I won't drink it but we recently had this conversation in regards to why babies tend to like sweet foods. According to google breastmilk has 7g of sugar per 100g. It seems like a lot.
@Katelynn 😲 oh wowww
I was short on creamer so... my coffee tasted good🤣
I tried it the other night out of desperation bc I had gave my baby thawed milk and she was gagging/ acting like she didn’t like it and was screaming so in my head I was like “what is wrong with it”??? And squirted some in my mouth😂😂 did all of that just for her to drink it no problem half an hour later (there was nothing wrong with it)🙃😂
Also a lot less protein (roughly 1/3) vs cow 🐄 or goat 🐐 … human milk has a more calories overall bc higher lactose & similar fat content - tho I think that differs based on moms diet & genetics bc the calories in our milk can differ by a lot a lot according to studies 🤷♀️ I guess other mammals are more uniform or maybe it’s just due to farming practices being standard compared to our lifestyles .. anyway here’s a nutritional comparison https://ijclinmedcasereports.com/pdf/IJCMCR-RW-01200.pdf
We fomula feed by choice so ive been working to stop my production since birth. I did try some though and it was salty! Looking over the other comments guess its a good thing we chose formula! 😂
@Victoria I just read salty is caused by mastitis......! So hopefully you got checked and treated for that.
Had a few moms on here reccomend placing frozen cabbage leaves on my breasts. I was doubtful but it worked like a charm! Helped the pain weirdly well! Only try it if you're ok drying your supply though.
Sweet milk is pretty much the norm for breast milk as baby's (and everyone else's) brain requires sugar to function. Color can be light green, blue, white or pink and that's completely normal!
