It is so exhausting isn't it and I feel it's such a basic task feeding your child but it's so stressful! My little boy has been like this for about 4/5 months so he's not ill. Like you say it might just be independence but I've no idea what to do, don't feel I can get advice/help of a professional because he's great at nursery 🤷♀️
Yes!!! This has literally described our little boy perfectly, used to be the best eater and now refuses pretty much everything except cheddars and pink panther biscuits 🤦🏼♀️
@Katie so difficult isn't it! Are you just going with it and hoping it's a phase he grows out of? I still offer food at every meal time but he just refuses 🤦♀️
This is my little boy!! Won’t eat any meals at home but would snack all day on biscuits if he could. I’ve been so stressed about it over the last few months, I’m now trying to not stress about it as much as he does eat well at nursery but it’s so hard not to. Someone mentioned to me it could be to do with control, as he has control over what he eats at home but not nursery 🤷🏼♀️
Yep same here 🥲 My boy has never been a good eater but recently he's impossible. We try explore new foods but he just wants blueberries. He eats at nursery and at grandparents houses, just not at home 🤷♀️
At the weekends do you stick to the same meal times as nursery? Also do you eat with him or is he eating by himself? Might be that he’s taking the lead of everyone else eating around him at nursery?
My little boy had been like it this weekend, refusing to eat basically anything. Not even snacks, and not wanting water either. It's exhausting and I can't stop worrying about what is up with him, at nursery he eats everything ! Seeing how he gets on today but some of it was him feeling unwell/teething but just think maybe it's him asserting his independence and knowing what he wants etc
