@Megan They didn’t! They just did a quick blood test, drink the drink, wait 2 hours and another blood test x
Funny enough I wanted to post the same message today. I am very sensitive to sweets and after a few sips of juice, I feel unwell but the glucose drink for the test was a breeze. Far less sweet than having an orange juice. I’m actually confused why all drama about the test. I was lucky and was able to go home between but otherwise can report I didn’t feel sick at all or found it difficult to drink. Maybe a pro tip is to try and have your test as early in the morning as possible so you don’t need to fast too long :)
@Allison yeah same! I am so bad with drinking things I don’t like the taste of too so I thought I’m going to struggle so much but it really wasn’t that bad! There was so much negativity around it online!
Ah okay no worries I might pop in to the drs and use their machine to check how my blood pressure’s going 😊
Are you aloud to drink water the night and morning of?
@Charlotte yeah water is fine the whole time! My apt was at 8:30am so had to stop eating/drinking anything other than water from 8:30pm night before x
I have mine on Friday! Do they check your blood pressure by any chance, at my last midwife appointment they said I was a little high and I had a trace of protein so I am a tad paranoid 🤣
