Gaining weight help

So my little boy has always been small )32nd centile) but he’s just so skinny and I’m worried about him. I want him to put weight on but don’t know how? Has anyone else being in this position? He is always running around from the moment he wakes up the moment he goes to sleep so I think he just burns off a lot. He can be fussy so isn’t the best eater and he doesn’t always like veg, I make my own tomato sauce with hidden veg in but I just don’t know what else to do. What is everyone else’s typical eating day look like? TIA

My son is SO skinny, he's 6 and about 3 stone wet through 😂 like yours, he doesn't sit still and has bags of energy so I assume his metabolism is high. He eats as much as his siblings, I think just being constantly active keeps the weight off. So try not to worry. Him eating veg wouldn't make him gain weight anyway, I sometimes give my boy a protein shake to get some extra bulk in!

@Alice thank you for replying. That’s the thing my boy is constantly running around/ jumping off the sofas so I think he just burns a lot off. I was thinking about getting some shakes do you think they make a difference? D

My boy is a fussy eater too and on the slim side. I haven’t used pediasure but considered it as it’s got lots of calories in. I give my son lots of oat bars which are high calorie, high protein pasta, oat biscuits, full fat yoghurts x

My son has over 2000 kcals a day and is still skinny!

My 3yo was born on the 50th centile but is now rather small and super skinny compared to others. But he has bags of energy, is super smart despite not eating loads he seems to get what he needs. I’m hoping as he gets older and even more active the better appetite will come and he’ll catch up in size. Random tip if it helps, the navy/black skinny joggers from Next in the girls section fit him perfectly!
