Target we usually like once upon farm melts and puffs! (Son is 10 months) serenity kids puffs (yes I know the social media metal testing controversy, but the ingredients are good and definitely a better choice). Cerebelly toddler bars, simple mills crackers and cookies, chomps beef sticks, and obviously a good one is just slicing up some organic fruit:)
Siete chips are also a nice treat:)
Unfortunately most organic stuff or stuff without preservatives is more expensive. If you have time you could make stuff instead then you know what’s going into it
@Victoria~ I’m currently 6 months pregnant and have always made mine and my daughter’s snacks from scratch but am getting exhausted standing in the kitchen for hours at a time this far along. And with her need to gain weight, it’s difficult for me to keep up with the cooking and dishes. There are definitely affordable clean options still available in stores but thanks for the suggestion.
We do a lot of sugar free applesauce pouches, mini muffins, shredded cheese, yogurt, sugar free pudding, veggie straws, nutrigrain bars, puffs etc
One of my friends gave her son coconut milk and swore that helped him gain some weight. I tried kids protein drinks with mine. Target has a couple options that aren’t terrible.
Something I have done with success is save my daughter’s half-eaten strawberries and then cut them up and put them in the blender with coconut water (or plain water) and pure maple syrup. I make popsicles. Cheap and she loves them
Note: We mainly shop at Aldi and Target
