Eating food

Is there anyone else LO experiencing difficulty in bringing food to their mouth? My son seems to have a bit of difficulty in grasping the food. When he finally manages to do so, it seems like he takes quite a while to get the food into his mouth or misses it entirely. Is this something I should be concerned about? He's just turned 8 months old.

My baby boy is also experiencing the same. Following 👀

Same for my girl!

My little man just turned 8 months but puts anything and everything in his mouth in record time lol which is good and bad 💁🏽‍♀️ It’s hard to say…my first 2 feels like so long ago (11 years and almost 8 years) but I don’t think they learned as fast as our youngest 2 who sped through their milestones so fast because they had my 2 and my husbands 2 (also 11 and 8) to watch and help them with everything! The older 4 taught my 3 yo to crawl in like 2 days, walk, talk, etc. she’s like a little adult now at 3. My 8 month old is not far behind the time frame my 3 yo learned in. It all depends on the situations and the kids! Everyone learns at different speeds ❤️ especially with older and willing siblings to help out.

Nothing to be concerned about at this age. At 8 months babies haven’t developed their pincer grip yet to pick up food with their fingers so they use their whole hand which they aren’t super coordinated with yet

Makes me feel better that our babies do the same @Kenna and @Carly

@Kelsey yes! I noticed this. It's like it's too far back in his hand. I was helping him, and some lady started telling me I'm going to make him dependant on me feeding him so he won't learn. So I thought I was doing something wrong.
