I've heard of it being wrong so many times, I didn't bother and just waited to do NIPT. Apparently it only tests for the presence of a Y chromosome, it's easy to contaminate with male DNA, and if you've previously had a boy within the last two years that can cause a false result as well.
Mine was wrong sneak peak came back boy at my private scan was told a girl, they will not refund until I provide a birth certificate
Yes mine said not but it was a girl. I got a refund after she was born.
It’s more likely to be wrong if it’s contaminated by boy DNA from the male partner/male children you already live with. I did the test for 2 out of my 3 pregnancies, they both came back as boy and they both ended up being boys. There’s also the chance that if you’ve just recently given birth to a boy then it can skew the results as your body can still contain foetal DNA from your previous pregnancy.
Not a sneak peak but I had a NIPT done and it came back as girl but later scans clearly showed a boy so they re did the NIPT and it came back boy on the second blood draw! X
Mine was correct and I had a girl. They do give a refund if it's wrong.
I did the sneak peak and I was told I was having a boy and all scans said I was having a girl. I gave birth to a beautiful little girl ♥️
Mine was wrong. It said boy and I have a baby girl
I did the finger lancet at around 16 weeks, result said boy. At the 23 week ultrasound was told Girl. I recently gave birth to my beautiful girl. They give a refund for wrong result
