When to give baby food

Those of you who are weaning, what time of day are you giving baby their food? Are you doing it before or after they've had food? Also are you giving water? Thanks 💗

The advice is usually to give food 1 hour after milk so that they are not too hungry but still interested.. at this age they should be drinking a maximum of 4oz of water per day :)

I’ve been doing lunch at around 12-2pm, about 30mins to an hour after she’s had her milk but also keeping an eye on her wake window to ensure she’s not too tired. I offer small sips of water too in between a few spoonfuls of puree in a sippy cup with a straw

I’ll be starting weaning dot on 6 months and doing 2 new foods a day, we’re doing homemade purées. My boy has a bottle every 3 hours so I’ll be giving him food about 2 hours after every bottle so he’s not starving but will take food, I’ll be giving him cooled boiled water to go with it x

I give mine a bit of purée around half an hour before he is due a bottle and is getting a little bit hungry but not too hungry. We give sips of water but not much x

Don't give water until 12 months old 😫 it's soo dangerous. Up to 1oz a day is max and even then they don't need it. Milk is all they need until 1 years old, food at this age is for experience and textures and tastes its not to fill them up with
