Girl that’s my issue too. I always cooked at home, But mostly vegetarian and now with my baby I am feeding her meat also, so it’s a struggle to find something that’s not super time consuming and we can all eat. I have a slow cooker to it’s been helpful cause I’m saving some recipes on Pinterest and just leave them to cook.
@Sofia check out the link I sent above it also has a vegetarian section too 😁 really quick to make I believe in all of us to be able to cook at home more 🥳 Here is the veggie specific link https://www.budgetbytes.com/category/recipes/vegetarian/
@Casey I was actually just browsing it now. Never heard of this website so thank you!!!!!!
I always struggle with cooking and making new things I feel like I'm always making ground meat with either pasta or rice or chicken or salmon. What helps me to actually eat home cooked meals is to cook for 2 or 3 days so I don't have to cook everyday. I make big batches and that's what we'll eat for the week and once I see it's starting to finish I start defrosting. You can literally just look up meals with the meat you defrost
@Casey THANK YOU SO MUCH!
@Sofia YES, I’m like ahhh! Where do I find time and it’s so much easier to eat out?! We have been doing it since baby was born. My MIL cooks for us but when she doesn’t — we’re tired and just want something easy!
@Nicole Yess it’s exhausting to cook too! I’ll find a rhythm eventually. That’s what I need to do — cook in bulk!
https://www.budgetbytes.com/ When I was learning to cook it was my absolute savior! Gives a cost breakdown and is great to organize what to pick up for groceries. We rarely eat out now (too expensive 😔) and this was what started me learning! And it has step by step pictures which are super great to follow!
