Same here..mine just turned 2 and is refusing to sleep without me š« š«
He is turning two! Unfortunately that is the best explanation there is. We are going through the exact same and my best advice is just to be there for them when they are struggling to regulate/sleep and try to keep things as similar to how it was before regarding meal times etc. ride the wave of tantrums and remember they are great learning opportunities for them. Also, donāt feel guilty if you get overwhelmed or frustrated with them, we all do. Just know itāll pass. Itās a very hard transition but this is just them trying to figure out the new hormones and changes in their life and bodies. They are learning that they can say no to anything and there isnāt much you can do, so try to stay firm. They are testing the boundaries you set, so try to stick to them. They are becoming proper little humans with minds of their own now
Thank you for your responses! It makes me feel a bit better knowing that itās normal; weāll just have to ride through it! š
Iām so glad Iāve seen this. My daughter is also 2 on 24th and she wants to be fed like a baby with her milk now and also waking up loads in the night, I thought sheād developed a fear to her cot but hopefully itās just a stage! X
