Shall I do it?

I’m 10-11 weeks pregnant and have the urge to paint my kitchen with a mask on. Do I go for it or be safe and don’t?

I painted my son's nursery while pregnant, just kept all the windows open and wore a good respiratory mask

I took on a new flat that needed fully redecorated when I was 7 months pregnant, we were staying in old flat whilst we papered and painted the new place and kept windows open all the time, overnight too when we weren’t in the house. Solvent based paints are worse than water based paint I’m sure but we’ve all been fine :) x

i painted our house while 38 weeks pregnant!

Paint used to be toxic - it’s not like this these days. Just have a well ventilated area and take breaks xx

You could pick low voc paint which emits less fumes

I painted plenty while pregnant

We’re doing our daughter’s room up. As long as you take precautions and it’s a well ventilated room you should be okay

Most paints are non toxic now anyway x

I painted my aunt's bathroom when I was 4 or 5 months pregnant.
