Eating

HELP! I want to see if I’m not the only one! My toddler is 16 months old this month on 11th March. Couple of months now she’s just not interested in her food. She’ll throw it everywhere, she go to eat it then scrunch her face and spit it out, even with foods she used to love! I’ve started her on vitamins as I just feel like she’s not getting enough nutrients, certain foods she loves is peas, sweetcorn, skinless sausages there the main things she’ll eat at the moment. Everything else is a no go! She would prefer to snack and loves her snack time but when it comes to proper meal times just nothing she’ll eat! Anyone else’s toddler going through this stage, I’m finding it super hard and frustrating with food everywhere also! HELP!

I’m also in the same situation as you, mine will be 16months on 13th of March .I don’t really know what to do

I don’t know which vitamins is the best for him

Sameee here

How long do you leave between snacks and meals? We found my boy was filling up on snacks and then wouldn’t eat his dinners. Once we scaled back snacks his appetite at meal times improved massively x

@Yasmin her routine is: 7am - bottle 8am - breakfast (she’s pretty good with this meal) 10am - snack 11:30am - Lunch 12pm - Nap (Max 2 hours) 3pm - Snack 5pm - dinner 6:30pm - Bath 7pm - bottle & Bed I was thinking that, but then like at nursery, she eats everything maybe it’s because she has the other children round her it’s just at home and when we’re out, like idk what to do, maybe I should cut her snacks out at home, like she has like an oat bar for snack maybe it’s to filling for her, she’s never been a big eater

@Sarat Yetunde I’ve started my little girl on haliboorange as it was recommended by a friend as it tastes nicer than all the others as I give to her through a syringe

@Sophie Wicks Thanks so much for,I will surely get this .X

Mine is the same! She’ll be 16 months on March 12th. She refuses to eat her meals, spits everything out, and only wants snacks. She still isn’t sleeping through the night and wakes up twice for milk. We’ve been struggling to wean her off, but nothing we’ve tried seems to work. 😭

@Kae oh bless you. See even my little one never been a fan on her bottles when little. She’s only 2 bottles a day when she wakes up and before bed and that’s it, it’s tough, but you’ll get there! Have you tried maybe offering water in the night rather than a bottle? I don’t know what to suggest x

@Sophie Wicks We tried this method, but to our amusement (and frustration), she seemed a bit confused when she first started drinking it. After having about 40ml, she realized it wasn’t milk and refused to drink any more, insisting on her milk again. 😂

@Kae oh bless her! They sure are clever 😂 if she’s not eating though maybe it’s a good thing she’s still having that milk. I’ve just started offering my little girl a bedtime blend before her bath then bottle after bath then bed, just so I know she’s eating that as she loves it! X

My daughter now 18m she was the same so I started doing her 2 plates of the same thing she would never eat the first lot always went on floor so we would do an activity then try again with second and she eat it I also cut out her snacks in between meals for a short time then when felt she was eating better bright them back x
