Our kids get different things for breakfast presently my son doesn’t always eat the same thing that my twins do throughout the day. So yes I tend to make him what he wants since he’s old enough to let me know . My girls aren’t really at the point to verbalize this as of yet

I have one one year old so I know nothing but I would say they get to play a game of chance and whoever wins picks first and whoever loses picks second. But they’re definitely eating the same thing, unless there’s something thats a quick and easy modification.

I let them pick that they want to eat. That way, I know they will eat it and not go hungry. Also, I understand that they like different things, my son could want different things every day and my daughter would rather have oatmeal for 3 days straight, I don't think my son would want the same thing days on end and I think it would be unfair to make him eat whatever his sister eats lol. But sometimes I get told they are "picky" because they don't want to eat the same things.

I make them what they want within reason. On a school day, I have fewer options because we are on a timeline to get out the door. They also like different things, so it wouldn’t work to make them eat the same things every day.

Breakfast they can have what they like from a choice of cereals, toast with topping, eggs etc. Other meals are set and they eat what they are given!

We mostly do quick stuff for breakfast so they can have what they want of that stuff. Cereal, oatmeal, belvitas, fruit, toast etc.

Make them what they want within reason. It’s not hard to do different cereal and toast.

If it works for you its fine. Its just breakfast. Its not like they are going to request a steak and turf buffet. For the most part for the two meals a day I make (dad makes one) if my son makes a request I will make that and something else to round out the meal and once my daughter is able to ask for something I will probably just add that to the plate as well.

Depends if it’s a weekday or weekend I don’t have time for personalised breakfasts during the week but the weekend we’d usually have slower mornings and could accommodate requests

Depends what it is. If it’s easy stuff like one kid wants cereal the other wants toast sure but I’m not gonna make two full breakfasts with eggs, bacon etc

The choices are cereal, toast or porridge on a weekday. They can pick from that

I offer a few options they can pick from otherwise I'd never leave the kitchen as all 3 of my kids have different food preferences.

nope i do not work at a restaurant and u are not putting a food order in to a chef lol we ALL eat the same thing. if i make pancakes everyone eats them, if we make chorizo and eggs everyone eats them, etc. only variation would be if my husband made his chorizo and eggs a burrito thats fine or if i made different flavors of pancakes (like plain vs chocolate etc.) the only person who can request what we have is my husband

If i make pancakes, does one want blueberries and the other wants strawberries or plain? I can easily accommodate that. Does one want waffles and the other wants a pancake then I can put one in the pan and the other in the waffle maker. For eggs, I can offer scrambled, boiled, fried...not hard. If we are on a time crunch, I'm making one thing for everyone and I'll choose what I know my family enjoys as a whole. If that morning someone's just not feeling it then they can grab a fresh fruit and a protein bar for the go🤷🏾‍♀️

If we're doing something easy like eggs & a meat for breakfast, I'll give them all the option to decide how their eggs are cooked. Lately, my 10 & 6 year old help cook breakfast, so it is making it easier to prepare a varof things if we'd like to. We create two 14-day menus together as a family. We plan for all breakfasts, most lunches as we do leftovers a lot, snacks, treats, & a few dinners that I'll take responsibility for (my husband usually does dinner & he just cooks based off what we have or whatever he's inspired to make). So I shop and prep based on that, and then I make certain things depending on those days' activities.
