Grateful and Proud

After a traumatizing birth with my first baby, I was so apprehensive about birth with my second. She arrived March 6th at 5:29am and the birth was more than I could have hoped for 🤍 All natural, no complications, no tearing, birthed her standing up in the shower at the hospital, lmao. This was such a healing experience for me 🤍

congratulations 🤍

Congrats! Anything you did that helped?

@Afifa I went into it with no expectations and took everything one step at a time, one contraction at a time. I think that’s the best you can do! The shower was my saviour even though I had never even planned on going into the shower; decided to try it once I got to the hospital. My midwife was also a rockstar and adapted to anything I needed which I am super grateful for

I had contractions for almost 2 hours last night but I got so tired that I ended up falling asleep 😪 now I am thinking I didn’t work hard enough to let it become more intense

@Afifa on the contrary! Taking the rest was exactly the right thing to do! It must have been false labor because if it was real the contractions would have ramped up on their own. Rest as much as you can and stay fuelled and hydrated. You got this!

Congratulations 🎊
