How much puree to give baby

I was feeding my baby today and then I realised when do I know when to stop?? He would have polished the whole bowl of puréed broccoli. I’m worried I may have over fed him.

On the weaning course we've done they advised to feed milk 30-60mins before giving other food so the baby isn't hungry (as if they fill up on purees that they can't digest too well at this stage they won't get enough nutrition), then you can keep offering until baby doesn't want any more (closed mouth, turning head away etc)

If I feed about an hour or so after milk, my little girl would demolish a bowl too 😂 she enjoys it so much she don’t know when to stop! But I offer two large baby spoon fulls in a bowl xx

Thanks both! It seems we may have given a bit too much then😩 trying not to panic, he seems fine otherwise but lesson learnt😬xx

As a one-off I wouldn't worry at all! xx

I read to start with do one ice cube amount of puree and then you can gradually increase it as they get older and more used to it. Also easy to freeze and store that way.

@Antonia thank you for this❤️

@Kim thanks Kim, that’s helpful to know
