A Mind Set on Things Above
Dear Mothers,
Life can be busy and overwhelming with all the responsibilities you carry—caring for your family, managing your home, and balancing so many tasks. In the midst of it all, it’s easy to get caught up in the worries of this world. But God reminds us in Colossians 3:2 to set our minds on things above. When we focus on Him, we find strength, peace, and purpose, even in the busiest moments.
Colossians 3:2 tells us to focus on things above, not just on things of this world. This doesn’t mean we stop working, since we have needs while we’re here on earth. But we should make time for God—reading the Bible, praying, and thanking Him. When our minds are set on the world, we are more likely to sin because our flesh is weak, leading to death. But when we focus on heavenly things, we find life and peace.
Reflection:
What do you think about most? Do your thoughts bring you closer to God or pull you away? Ask God to help you focus on Him and find true peace.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to set my mind on You and not be distracted by the things of this world. Give me the desire to seek You daily, to pray, and to trust in Your peace. Keep my heart close to You and guide me in Your truth. Amen.
You are doing a beautiful job, and God sees every effort you make. Keep your heart set on Him, and He will give you the peace and strength you need.
Amen!
