Flying alone with an 11 month old.

So I’m flying alone with my what will be 11 month old end of April. Last time I flew with him I flew with a friend so had more help. Listed below is everything I have so far/will be doing.. anything I’m missing from anyone else who’s flown solo especially? Travel pram (booked onto the airline so can fingers crossed keep it to the gate and have it upon landing etc) Snacks (will give his bottle on take off which will be slightly earlier than normal as we have a 5am flight and then planning on taking a porridge pot and some fruit) Tablet (don’t come at me lol cos I really don’t care he loves to watch CBeebies so will be downloading programmes for him to watch) New toys (self explanatory really but will buy some bits he’s never played with to take on the plane) Change of clothes Muslin Bibs Blanket What am I missing?

I’d bring a baby wrap. That’s what I opted for instead of a pram but also good to have if pram isn’t where it’s meant to be when needed.

@Macdalia yeah I can’t do that I never liked them when he was newborn let alone now he’s over 2 stone 😂 it’s such a great concept and I wanted to use one but I just hated the feel of it!

Following as I’m flying with my 6 month old tomorrow so am keen to learn any additional tips for the flight home. A couple things I’ve also got are a change of clothes for yourself, too, and any sort of cushion or anything you need to be comfortable with him on your lap for a long time. I got a BBHugMe nursing pillow from Vinted to help with breastfeeding and sleep and I think it will help for general comfort when he’s awake, too.

If you don’t like a sling you might like a hip carry thing to have one arm free whilst more sturdy

A change of clothes for you. My son shat down my leg on a flight once and I had no choice but to walk round like it 😂

@Lily I don’t really like anything like that tbh but thank you for the mention of it! I will look into the pillow as he is so heavy so think that deffo will help x

@Yasmin omg yes looool 😂

@Yasmin oh boy, that’s rough, my girl once did throw up her whole bottle on me and her dad, luckily it was on the way home and bout 30 min left on the flight plus we had clothes easy to change getting there. We were somehow soaked.
