Work from home while taking care of them
Partner —> other family member
Hubby has them 2 days a week. They go to nursery 3 days a week.
Grandparents watch our children fulltime m-thurs
We have an amazing in home daycare that I take them to.
Daycare at the child development center of my community college
I work in childcare so my child comes with me and goes to his own class
How is everyone handling working from home with the baby there? How do you get in some focus time?
All of the above - we use daycare twice a week and then when I work in the weekend either my friends babysit or my husband watches the baby.
Meant to say daycare
We do nursery in the mornings 7:30am - 1:00pm, then she is collected by a family member who has her until we get home from work around 4:30/5:00pm (a couple of different family members throughout the week).
We’re doing a mix of family and daycare once I go back to work, she’ll be in daycare 3 days and then split between my mom and father in law the other 2 days
Mines in school. If home sick, either with Dad or my mom
Work from home and have him home with me working Mon- Thurs. 7am - 5pm. My employer is extremely reasonable though as I have 2 children in school aswell as a 1 year old and I am able to nip out for school drop offs etc. If I need time off for school related things such as assemblies or events it’s not a problem and I’m able to use annual leave last minute if needed. I do realise I am lucky and it’s hard to find somewhere that realise work isn’t and can’t be your only priority, that I am a mother first and foremost and that childcare is expensive! As long as my work is done they understand other people need me. If it wasn’t for this and I had to go into office part of the week, I would probably split childcare between me and my partner until 3 years and then add in some nursery.
