Egg recipe

Hey mummas, Wondering whats the best way to introduce egg to your 7 month old. Since its an allergen do you introduce only a tiny bit or as much the baby wants to have (considering 1 egg)

I boiled up one egg sliced it and then let her play and eat it. The next time we tried egg I did a one egg omelette but she didn’t care for it

I did one boiled egg (and scrambled the next day) mixed with a bit of avocado - would say he probably ate about half of the egg. Also tried omelette strips or banana pancakes if you’re doing BLW

Whichever way you choose, just ensure it’s well cooked. Scrambled should be avoided as a first try. You can add it on its own or for example in a pancake as the amount of egg would be less

We did an egg finger first - just mix up, stick in the pan, and cut into a rectangle. When she tolerated it fine I then made a big tray of zucchini egg bites and froze most of it. She gets a defrosted one every now and then!

I introduced just the egg yolk first, i mashed it and mixed with some breast milk

I actually pureed a hard boiled egg 😂 it stank but she ate a few spoonfuls

I made omelette yesterday, and gave her a strip. Luckily, no reaction

I gave my wee boy scrambled egg (a splash of milk in it, but have already cleared dairy as an allergen), though I see someone’s said it should be avoided. I wasn’t aware of that, and he seems to have been fine with it 🙂

We did egg omelette, just egg, nothing else. Any allergen should be 1 bite/spoon and then a 5-10min wait before letting them finish, then giving the same for a couple more days (without introducing anything new) once confirmed no allergy move to the next allergen. Now he has egg on toast, egg soldiers, omelette with a variety of fillings etc
