I had this my twins were only 3 months old I was absolutely terrified. The op went smoothly and I was discharged the next day, would’ve been same day but I had a bad reaction waking up to the anaesthetic. The only thing I struggled with afterwards in recovery was not being able to lift the twins by myself but I had no support system. It’s hard but try to focus on the thought of the pain being gone, would recommend trying to have someone to help you with baby for the first couple of days and have things like a big drinks bottle wherever you sit during the day so you don’t have to keep trying to get up. I felt so much more useless to my towns when I didn’t have to worry about the attacks anymore. I hope it all goes well for you!
I had my gallbladder out maybe 7 years ago and was out same day and recovered in a week. Keyhole surgery went very well and I’ve not suffered since!
Hey girl! If it makes you feel any better, two of my closest friends have had their gallbladders removed in the past year. Each surgery went swimmingly and both were discharged earlier than scheduled! GA can be really scary but just remind yourself that these are medical professionals who do this day in and day out - they know what they're doing and you're in the best hands x
