@Lorna Thankyou so much for this! Sounds exactly like us she had a stomach bug then cold then another cold so she just cannot catch a break! We have had a few good days of food within this and then the rest shocking! Bless your little girl, they really go through it! Hope she improves soon also 💗
That’s ok. It’s so frustrating. Hopefully they’ll both be back to normal soon 🤞
YES!!!! I’m cooking all of his favourite foods and he is just having maybe one mouthful or two mouthfuls of it and then being done. He would happily just eat fruit all day long though! He has got 2 molars coming through and had his last jabs 10days ago as I split them in to two sets plus he’s had a viral infection so he’s just not been on form lol. I’m excited for him to be back to himself 🙃
My son doesn’t eat anything when he’s not well/doesn’t feel himself, he’s just had something viral last week as came home from nursery with a temperature and that’s all he had really just a temperature for a few days but during those days he didn’t eat anything, maybe a few snacks and a bit of porridge. Now this week he feels better he’s eating better again. All you can do is keep offering food and she will eat what she wants to eat if she wants too, but I would say if it continues to maybe speak with a health visitor for advice xx
Yep! We've had a number of illnesses in a row and my little hasn't eaten a full meal at home for well over a month. It's super disheartening and she's living off the same food over and over again and she's refusing most things. Hoping it's over soon as we had gotten to a really good place with the weaning
We also had the flu and stomach bug combined with a premolar teething and my LG barely ate more than 2 spoons a day for about 2-3weeks and is slowly starting to eat better now. I am still breastfeeding and that was the only thing she would have nutrient wise. She definitely lost a quite a bit of her baby fat but hopefully will get back now she’s eating. So just keep offering meals and snacks and make sure they’re well hydrated as that is the main thing and it should get better soon!
I think it’s one of those phases unfortunately. My daughter has never been a big eater but has a super varied diet. She’s recently had a stomach bug followed by a cold, hardly eaten anything for 2 weeks & lost weight, although she’s usually between 0.4-2nd centile so I dread to think how she’s measuring at the moment. However she’s under a dietician for cmpa & they’ve said this is perfectly normal & will pass in time. We’re just continuing to offer 3 meals & snacks constantly throughout the day. Today has been a much better day so fingers crossed it passes soon. Always worth speaking to GP or health visitor for some reassurance/advice.xx
