Fleming Island! We love it here! St Johns county is another great area for schools
Fleming Island, green cove, St johns
Depends on budget! Saint John’s county ($$) is hands down the best.. someone mentioned green cove & Fleming which are kind of extensions of St John’s but more rural. You’d be an hour from jax airport at this point and none of these locations are technically in Jacksonville. If you want to be closer to Jacksonville really the only “good”school area is going to be the beaches (Neptune, Atlantic, Jacksonville beach or ponte vedra). Again, expensive, but that’s relative. Also, none of these locations I mentioned are ethnically diverse.. 98% white, if that matters to you. Next 2 best reasonably priced area would be Bartram (just north of St John’s county) and then southside (just north of Bartram). Jacksonville is known for not great school systems though, so a lot of people do private schools. Look into the STEP UP scholarship. I am not a mom yet just taught middle school here for 5 years. Some families try Florida virtual, which is very popular too.
Stay out of westside. Maybe look into orange park, beaches, there’s a few other spots. I’m just drawing a blank on names. And for a good pediatrician go to Jax Peds on park st. Wonderful staff.
