How does that work?

Do you need life insurance on your children separately or can you just get one for yourself and put them under you as beneficiaries? What would be best? Which is better whole life or term?

What is affordable for you at this moment to bring you peace of mind that your children will be taken care of? Your own insurance with your children written in or separate?

@Kayla Like with my own policy but I add my kids under me as beneficiaries. I don't know how it works lol this would be my first time

Whatever you can afford (-; I don’t have life insurance i can barely afford health! But if it brings you peace of mind grab what you can to ensure your children’s future.

@Kayla Is it really needed?

@Kaylla I have my daughter and son listed as 50/50 beneficiaries on my life insurance policy with US Life. I also have an insurance policy with Gerber for my 14 month old son. It’s very reasonable on the price.

Whole life is better and yes you should have a policy for each person. The policy is for the person listed if they die. Then whoever is listed on the paperwork will be who gets that money once they pass. Edit to add. We have an insurance policy for Myself, My husband and each kid.

@Jessica Hey, so separate is best?

@Jessica Like, I get one on me, my son, and my daughter all individually?

@Kaylla yes. It only covers one persons death. So, my insurance policy for me gives the money to whoever I designate after I die. So, if you get a policy for each kid in the event they die someone gets the money to bury them or whatever else they need to do.

@Jessica So, if something were to happen to me, what would happen to their policies afterward, being at the fact they are so young?

@Kaylla typically you can add more than one beneficiary. For example you can add your kids (or if you have a spouse) as the people get the money if you pass. We have a trust that will continue to pay into the kids insurance if we pass.
