Toddler can’t keep anything down

Hi all, my 18 month old hit his head yesterday, and threw up 3 hours later and then another half hour. I called 111 and took him to a&e, they checked him over and said no head injury. On the way back after a snack and water he was sick again, and this morning he’s threw up his toast and water. He can’t seem to keep anything down, does anyone have any advise?

Just to say also he’s acting completely normal within his self except for the sick

Can he keep just water down?

@Hattie I don’t think so

Try him with just water for an hour or so. If he can keep water down then call 111 again and tell them whats happening. If he can't keep water down then I would personally go back to A&E and ask for more checks.

In the nicest way possible, hopefully he just got a tummy bug that started at the same time.

I’d go straight back to a&e too much of a coincidence. Not worth risking waiting in my opinion

Our little one has been very sick recently too and we contacted the doctors who advised the fluid challenge (10ml of water/squash every 10 minutes) for as long as possible to prevent dehydration. It's worked 🙌 however, I do think it's worth getting another check due to the head injury....you can never be too careful xx
