Using multiple formula brands

Hi all! I’m pregnant with my first baby due in August and I’ve made the decision that I am going to exclusively formula feed. I know that baby may not get on with a particular brand so may need to try several but I’m hoping to use Aldi’s formula purely just because it’s one of the cheapest on the market at the moment. However they don’t do a ready to drink version. So I was wondering if anybody had any experience with using two brands at once? So in my case I’m looking to use aldis brand for making bottles and perhaps try cow and gate for ready to drink formula for days out where it may be easier to use ready to drink. Any advice or opinions greatly appreciated thank you

Using multiple formula could upset bubs tummy. You could always take canister of pre boiled water and formula powder n make up a bottle while your out.

Using 2 can upset the babies stomach so id recommend just using 1 and then take water and powder out with you and then cool it using a nuby rapid cooler or make them before you leave and let it cool

Or you can get a milk powder dispenser (you count the scoops out beforehand) and a flask of hot water and make the bottles up in no time on the go.

I brought a rapid cool and have a flask of boiling water for making formula on the go. I’ve only ever used aptimel

Two could upset baba, bonya is another cheaper formula which is a similar make up to kendamil (both made by kendamil) so you could try using that with kendamils ready to feeds?

My LG got constipation from using powdered cow&gate and RTF cow&gate. We stuck with RTF for ease. We originally used Aptamil and switched to cow&gate. That also gave her constipation.

As others have said, using 2 different ones can irritate baby's stomach. We started our LG on sma little steps (one of the cheapest and available rtf on amazon) but she really struggled with constipation on it so we've swapped to c&g and she's a different baby! I'd try and get a formula that is easily available in most shops as the last thing you want is to be running low and not be able to get more (our local aldis don't sell formula for example). I'd see what your local shops regularly have in stock so you know that if you're running out, you have options of where to buy it. Since switching, we use a rapid cool, thermos flask and measured out formula when out and about or visiting family as it's cheaper than rtf and our LG hates cold milk

We used cow & gate pre-made in the hospital but then switched to Aldi once we got home.. we had no issues at all .. but in those first 24 hours he was mainly having colostrum that I fed him with a syringe x

Thank you all so much for the input, I figured it may not quite be as simple as I’d hoped. I’ll get off to the shops to buy formula pots and a flask as originally planned, thank you!
