So we started at purées at 4 months. We started with one purée a day, when he got to 6 months he does a purée when he wakes up, one at noon and then one around tea time. He still nurses every 1-2 hours. Now we been cutting out a purée here and there and been offering more solid food that we are eating such as broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots, fish, chicken etc and sometimes he gets yogurt as a treat (has a huge appetite)
@Dana perfect, thank you x
@Sarah ahh okay that makes sense. So hes still getting milk and the purees?x
@Jade yes ☺️ just because we are still getting his hand to mouth skills going so purées is our and his comfort zone but we aren’t rushing him ❤️
Right now we are putting food on a spoon and handing the spoon to him and he knows what to do, just isn’t ready to put the spoon into the food himself yet
We started first week of BLW introducing different veggies for taste at breakfast only - he still drinks he s 4 bottles of milk so around 900ml a day. This week we ll introduce some fruits and starting from week 3 protein, allergens, etc.
I was advised baby lead weaning is only suitable for babies who can sit up by there self
Following! Sorry have no advice, I’m in the same boat also 🫣 I’ve ordered the book called how to wean your baby by Charlotte Stirling reed and going to start reading that tomorrow to get some ideas etc!! So do recommend getting a book if you don’t know where to start or how to do it
