False CPS report.

So my child’s teacher made a report to Child Protective Services because my son had bruises on him. Mind you my son is 6 and he’s got a crazy 3 year old brother. They like to play, climb, and fight ofc. It’s because they are BOYS! I cannot stress how they are so rambunctious when playing in or outside!!!! I’ve never hurt my kids and I would never do that anyway. I don’t even believe in spanking children…. I was abused as a child so I KNOW abuse when I see it….. This same thing happened back a few years ago. And the court took my son from me. I was absolutely heartbroken because I knew it was because he fell not because I hit him…. Now they are wanting to take all 3 of my kids. 6 years, 3 years, and 5 day old. I just literally had my baby and I don’t want him to be taken. Or my other 2…. We have a court hearing next Wednesday I’m so nervous….

Oh, momma!!! I can’t imagine!! My biggest fear is losing my kids. :( I am SO SORRY you’re going through this, especially what you’ve been through yourself as a child!! I wish I knew something I could say or do to make this better or go away! You’re in my thoughts & prayers.

This same thing happened a few years ago?

I was asking for clarity. Trying to understand. This happened before and they removed the kids?

@Reesie yes when my Oldest son started preschool we was going to the park just about every day with his cousins and he fell off the slide and bruised up his face and arm. He wasn’t injured just some scrapes and bruising. I didn’t see it happen because I was unpacking the food I had brung for lunch…. And they looked at the security camera footage and said I was being negligent towards him. I had my back to him for like 3 minutes….. my sister tried to get him but was just a bit too late.

@Reesie But the hospital told CPS about it.

Girl. That's tough. You think they will consider that previous incident in this recent decision of whether or not to take them?

I think they try to place them with family first. Will your sister help?

@Reesie The paper said if they have a close family member that doesn’t live in the home we live in they are capable of keeping them….

What’s the officially stated reason for wanting to remove children out of your care?

@Aggs Abuse

Oh honey, I’m so sorry 😢 people think they are helping the kids but in situations like that they’re actually just hurting them. I’m sure they have the best intentions but they really should have asked the child or talked to you about it first. I mean, at the very least ask the school counselor to talk with him or you, if not both. I’m so sorry you’re going through this 😞

And this right here is why I’m so scared of the Dhr system taking kids that are perfectly fine bit letting the parents who really shouldn’t have kids still have them

I really hope everything went well!

By no means do I know your situation but doesn’t Cps have to actually think you must be abusing your kids for them to take them out of your home? A couple bruises usually wouldn’t be an issue ??

I completely forgot about this post, sorry! I wanted to raise the same point as Ariyana. Children are not removed for abuse without evidence, or a conclusive investigation indicating abuse. If those metrics are not met, a court will not issue an order of removal. Do you have an update on what happened?
