Crying at nursery
Hello, has anyone got any tips to help my little girl settle in at nursery. She loved her first trial session where I stayed with her but the second session she was heartbroken when I left. I ended up going back in after 10 mins as she was so sad!

It’s HEARTBREAKING when you leave and they cry!!! I have no tips, because I believe they are all so different. What worked for me might not for you. But I have got reassurance that it gets so much better and easier!!!! My baby cried for about a month (two days a week) but she was walks in now. I don’t even get a kiss, cuddle or wave most days. Also heartbreaking but not in the same way 🤭 xx
Yes the first days my Lg girl and I cried a lot but seconde week she started to go in with a big smile So don’t you worry it will get better .. my tip which was recommended by our nursery and worked for us is a quick drop off don’t stay too long with her

Is there anything she can take with your smell on it? My little boy took a few weeks to settle in and he clung to his blanket that I slept with the night before he went so he had something that smelt like home. He absolutely loves going now (he's been going since Jan, 2 days a week) Think it also helps not to do a massive goodbye, my nursery meet us at the gate and it's a very short and positive goodbye, have a good day. The theory is then they don't think about it too much and they know mum/dad has left them in a good place
